SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo drops a surprise track on his birthday!
On July 17 at midnight KST, SEVENTEEN member Wonwoo surprised fans with the release of his self-written ballad, ‘GOGAE’, in celebration of his birthday.
The soothing single, titled ‘GOGAE’, meaning “a small hill” in Korean, uses the metaphor of climbing small hills each day to represent life’s quiet struggles. The calm ballad features a comforting blend of piano and strings, paired with Wonwoo’s deep vocals, offering a message of resilience and warmth.
Wonwoo participated in writing and composing ‘GOGAE’ to convey his sincere emotions to fans. The accompanying animated music video tells a touching story of friendship between a cat and a butterfly. A butterfly appears before a lonely cat, and the two quietly accompany each other, eventually crossing a hill and reaching a long-desired destination. The emotional visuals reflect the journey shared between Wonwoo and CARAT, making the release even more touching.

Though currently serving his mandatory military duty as a public service worker, Wonwoo continues to connect with fans through his music, a testament to his evolving artistry and unwavering bond with his fans.
