SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan and volleyball player Kim Yeon-koung are set to come together at the much-anticipated ‘KYK Invitational 2025,’ where Seungkwan will participate as a guest commentator for her final match.
Organized to commemorate Kim Yeon-koung’s final professional appearance, the ‘KYK Invitational 2025’ will take place at Incheon Samsan World Gymnasium on May 17 and 18, featuring thrilling games between the Women’s Volleyball World All-Star Team and the South Korean National Women’s Volleyball Team, followed by a special match among the Global All-Stars. The two-day volleyball festival will also include celebratory performances and pre-show events, promising a grand send-off for the volleyball icon.
Known for being a passionate volleyball fan since childhood, Seungkwan expressed his excitement, saying, “As a long-time fan of Korean volleyball, I am honored to be able to participate in the last match of the Emperor of Volleyball Kim Yeon-koung. I will prepare hard to give all participating players, spectators, and viewers an enjoyable memory.”
This collaboration between two beloved figures adds emotional weight to the farewell celebration. Seungkwan will be commentating on May 17, during the match between the World All-Star Team and Team Korea.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is set to release their 5th album, ‘HAPPY BURSTDAY,’ on May 26 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST).
