SEVENTEEN‘s new subunit is set to debut next month!
On August 11 KST, South Korean media reported that SEVENTEEN’s S.Coups and Mingyu will debut as a new sub-unit. It added that the duo recently completed filming the music video for the title track of their upcoming album in Los Angeles.
Later, their agency PLEDIS Entertainment confirmed the news, saying, “S.Coups and Mingyu plan on showcasing a unit album in September. We will inform you of the detailed schedule through an official notice.”
This will mark SEVENTEEN’s fourth official subunit, following BSS (Seungkwan, DK, and Hoshi), Jeonghan x Wonwoo, and Hoshi x Woozi.
Unlike past units that mixed vocal, performance, or hip-hop team members, this will be SEVENTEEN’s first unit composed entirely of hip-hop team members.
S.Coups and Mingyu have both contributed to the songwriting and composition of many of SEVENTEEN’s hit tracks. With their proven musical synergy, fans can look forward to even more unforgettable tracks from the duo in the future.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN will kick off their ‘SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_]’ tour in Incheon this September. Only nine members will participate, as four members will be serving their mandatory military duties.
