SEVENTEEN’s JOSHUA reimagines SLANDER’s hit ‘Love Is Gone’ with an emotional new version.
On July 25 at 1 PM KST (9:30 AM IST), SLANDER released ‘Love Is Gone (with JOSHUA of SEVENTEEN)’, a new version of their hit acoustic track originally featuring Dylan Matthew.
The song captures the sorrow of lost love, with JOSHUA’s delicate vocals and emotive tone blending seamlessly with the track’s minimal arrangement. The result is a stripped-back, heartfelt version that preserves the original’s emotional depth while adding a fresh, personal twist.
SLANDER, an American DJ duo consisting of Derek Andersen and Scott Land, is known for their unique bass music sound. This special collaboration began when SLANDER reached out to JOSHUA. The duo shared, “We’re thrilled to reveal a new version with JOSHUA. He breathed new life into the track with his fresh vocal tone while staying true to its essence.”
JOSHUA also shared, “I’m happy and grateful to share one of my favorite songs in my own voice. I’ll continue to show my own color through diverse music.”
Joshua has been steadily expanding his global presence, having previously featured on Pink Sweat$’s ’17’ alongside fellow SEVENTEEN member DK, and also contributed to New Kids On The Block’s remix of their 2008 single ‘Dirty Dancing’ with DK and DINO.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN will kick off their ‘SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR NEW_’ on September 13–14 at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium.
‘Love Is Gone (with JOSHUA of SEVENTEEN)’ is now available on all major streaming platforms.
