SEVENTEEN’s DK and SEUNGKWAN officially debut new sub-unit DxS!
On January 12 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST), the DxS sub-unit made their debut with their first mini album, ‘Serenade,’ which means ‘a love song sung at night’ and focuses on honest, everyday emotions such as beginnings, separation, longing, emotional fatigue, and healing. Centered around the theme of ‘ordinary love,’ the album presents stories that quietly remain in everyone’s memories, making it deeply relatable.
The mini album features six tracks, including the title track ‘Blue,’ a winter ballad that delicately captures love at different paces. The music video stars Lee Yoo-mi and Noh Sang-hyun, who portray a couple gradually drifting apart. Their performances blend seamlessly with the duo’s sorrowful melodies and emotionally rich harmonies, adding cinematic depth to the song’s lingering emotions.
The B-side tracks on the album include DK’s solo retro-pop track, ‘Rockstar,’ SEUNGKWAN’s solo ethereal ballad, ‘Dream Serenade,’ the R&B-based ‘Guilty Pleasure,’ the breakup reflection track ‘Silence,’ and the hopeful closing track, ‘Prelude of Love,’ with both idols participating in writing and composing the tracks, showcasing their refined musical storytelling.
With ‘Serenade,’ DxS delivers the warmth, vulnerability, and empathy that define winter ballads. This marks SEVENTEEN’s fifth official sub-unit.
