To no one’s surprise, ‘High Class’ is picking up pace. Even though the K-Drama did disappoint viewers in the last few episodes, it is finally getting better! Now that Yeo Wool knows that An Ji Yong is alive, all that is left is for her is to uncover his dark schemes. And maybe, just maybe, the other characters will also face their downfall.
Good Bye Na Yoon
Everyone understood that Na Yoon was Ji Yong’s scapegoat from the moment she was made the chairperson. We also knew that he would dispose of her once his objective was achieved. But, no one was expecting him to do it the way he did, in a public place.
Maybe he was sending Yeo Wool a message, or he’s just that cruel. Regardless of whatever Ji Yong wanted, we don’t feel sorry for Na Yoon. She may not have deserved such an end, but she vented out her anger at a child by trapping him in a locker and thus lost all empathy.
Nam Ji Sun
Ji Sun is another despicable character; she is willing to go to any length to keep up appearances and doesn’t think twice before doing anything for status. And when we say anything, we mean anything— from ruining the lives of people around her (even her children) to doing illegal things— her underhanded methods know no bounds.
We know that she will have to face the consequences of what she did, especially since someone was recording her. All we can do is hope that her children will have someone to care for them and show them the right way forward.
An Ominous Presence
We have one question, is An Ji Yong a ghost? How on earth did he manage to hide for so long, especially when he was around the people he was involved with deeply?
That aside, the true nature and cruelty of this man are out for everyone to see. We wonder if he ever cared for his kids because we are sure he never loved the women he was associated with. Speaking of the women he was associated with, the fact that he is ‘pursuing’ Wan Chai Group’s Maggie Chen (Jung Young Joo) and her takeover of the HSC foundation are definitely connected.
We suspect that Ji Yong may not have wanted Yeo Wool to get caught up with HSC. However, Doh Jin Sol called her to Jeju in hopes of getting the money that was hidden. There was no way she would have signed the papers, and coupled with the fact that she wanted power and money, he had her killed. But it definitely was not because he loved her, but because everyone is a pawn in his greater scheme of things. He had hoped that he would go back to his life once everything settled. However, that isn’t possible anymore.
Verdict
‘High Class’ is still going strong, in fact, it is one of those dramas that get better towards the end. We hope that everything gets wrapped up nicely and that An Ji Yong will be caught in the end. We are super excited about Yeo Wool’s face-off with An Ji Yong and can’t wait to see what happens!
