Sports film ‘Rebound’ took home the Silver Mulberry Award at the 25th Far East Film Festival.
‘Rebound’ competed in the competition against 43 other Asian films and earned the Silver Mulberry with a 4.60 out of 5 ratings. It is a remarkable accomplishment for the pride of Korean cinema as this is the only Korean film to recieve this award.
Far East Film Festival is one of the biggest film festivals in Europe promoting Asian cinema and this takes place in the Italian city of Udine. The event celebrated its 25th anniversary this year. The event was attended by filmmaker Jang Hang Joon, author Kim Eun Hee, and actor Jung Jin Woon.
The Far East Film Festival’s executive director, Sabrina Baracetti, gave the film high praise, stating that “‘Rebound’ impresses with its believable and detailed basketball scenes, as well as its comical yet emotional highlights.”
