On February 7, South Korean virtual idol group PLAVE released their performance music video for ‘Dash,’ the title track from their 3rd mini-album, ‘Caligo Pt.1’. While the song seamlessly blends robust rock and heavy metal elements with poignant melodies—symbolizing the group’s bold evolution and resilience—the performance video highlights the group’s energetic choreography.

The group also achieved a personal best with their first-week sales of ‘Caligo Pt.1,’ surpassing 745,000 copies as of February 7 KST. This impressive feat sets a new personal record for PLAVE, eclipsing the first-week sales of their previous mini-album, ‘ASTERUM: 134-1’, which sold approximately 570,000 copies.
‘Caligo Pt. 1’ is named after a group of villains that PLAVE faces in their lore, which was developed by the LMS (LOST MEDIA SOCIETY) website and launched alongside the mini-album’s announcement. The mini-album has a darker tone compared to the group’s previous releases, and experiments with city pop, rock, and hip-hop, while still incorporating PLAVE’s signature R&B and ballad sounds. Apart from the title track, ‘Dash,’ the mini-album includes the songs ‘Chroma Drift,’ ‘RIZZ,’ ‘Island,’ and ‘12:32 (A to T)’.
With the performance video of ‘Dash,’ PLAVE has showcased their growth and musical maturity, further cementing themselves as one of the most exciting and innovative virtual groups in the K-Pop industry.
PLAVE is a five-member group that debuted in 2023 with the single album ‘ASTERUM’. The group consists of Yejun, Noah, Bamby, Eunho, and Hamin.
