PLAVE is making waves in the global music industry with the release of their third mini-album, ‘Caligo Pt. 1.’ Released on February 3, the album has already set multiple records, proving the group’s rising influence in K-pop and beyond.
Within just a day of its release, ‘Caligo Pt. 1’ amassed over 11 million accumulated streams on South Korea’s streaming platform Melon. The group also achieved two major milestones on the platform—entering the prestigious Billions Club, which recognizes artists who have surpassed a billion cumulative streams since their debut, and setting the record for the highest streaming album within 24 hours. Just six days later, on February 9, PLAVE’s total streams soared past two billion. Meanwhile, their Spotify monthly listeners more than doubled in two weeks, surpassing one million.
The group’s success is also reflected in their international presence. On February 19, their title track ‘DASH’ debuted at No. 195 on the Billboard Global 200 chart for the week of February 22, 2025. Additionally, four tracks from ‘Caligo Pt. 1’ are also on Billboard’s Global Excluding US chart for two consecutive weeks. Charting on one of the world’s most recognized music rankings further solidifies PLAVE’s growing global reach.
‘Caligo Pt. 1’ has also shattered sales records. According to South Korea’s Hanteo Music Chart, the album sold 1,039,308 copies in its first week, marking the highest first-week sales by a boy group in 2025 and making PLAVE the first virtual idols to achieve this feat. As they approach their second anniversary, the group continues to push boundaries and redefine industry norms.
Their success isn’t limited to digital and physical sales—PLAVE has also dominated music show rankings. The group secured first-place wins on multiple programs, including ‘Show Champion’ (MBC M, MBC every1) and ‘Show! Music Core,’ reinforcing their status as exceptional performers. After one of their victories, the members expressed their gratitude, saying, “It is such an honor that it feels like a dream. We’re always thankful for our fans, PLLI.”
‘Caligo Pt. 1’ comes about five months after PLAVE’s digital single ‘Pump Up The Volume!’ PLAVE actively participated in every aspect of their latest album, from composition and lyric writing to choreography and production, further proving their skills as self-producing artists.
With their ongoing domestic and global promotions in 2025, PLAVE’s record-breaking journey is only just beginning. Their recent achievements highlight their ability to challenge industry norms, push creative boundaries, and set new milestones along the way. As they continue to make history, one thing is certain—PLAVE’s influence is only growing stronger.
