PLAVE has officially made history as the first virtual idol group to achieve over 1 million album sales in just one week!
The group made their much-anticipated comeback on February 3 with their third mini-album, ‘Caligo Pt.1’, featuring the title track ‘Dash’. The album quickly topped Melon’s Top 100 chart on its release day, showcasing the group’s strong presence in the industry.
According to Hanteo Chart, ‘Caligo Pt.1’ recorded an impressive 1,038,308 copies in first-week sales (February 3–9), nearly doubling their previous first-week record of 569,289 set by their 2024 mini-album, ‘ASTERUM: 134-1’. This milestone solidifies PLAVE’s growing influence and proves that virtual idols are making a significant impact in the K-pop world.
Since their official debut on March 12, 2023, with the single album ‘Asterum’, PLAVE has been breaking barriers. The group became the first virtual idols to win first place on major Korean music shows, including ‘Show Champion’ and ‘Show! Music Core.’
With ‘Caligo Pt.1’, PLAVE continues to challenge industry norms and redefine K-pop’s future.
