Park Bom will be making a solo comeback this March!
Best known as the main vocalist of disbanded girl group 2NE1, the artist signed with label D-Nation Entertainment last year and is reportedly busy with preparations to make her return to the music industry.
It was confirmed soon after by YG Entertainment‘s CEO Yang Hyun Suk taking to his official Instagram account to post a message in support of Bom’s solo endeavors. The post was captioned – “Although she is no longer with YG, I really wish her all the success with her new release. #ParkBom #2NE1”
It is no secret that Bom has maintained her friendship with her 2NE1 sisters so it comes as a pleasant surprise that Dara (Sandara Park) will be featured in her upcoming release.
The news was confirmed by YG Entertainment with this statement – “It is true that Sandara Park will be featured in Park Bom’s upcoming comeback track.”
It has also been revealed that Brave Brothers will be the main producer for the artist’s upcoming release. The new track is described as a medium tempo R&B song.
Brave Brothers spoke to Korean news outlet Xportsnews about how he was approached by D-Nation several times before he made the decision to produce Bom’s album. He commented that he liked her vocal tone and wanted to make her a number one artist. Brave Brothers further spoke about Bom’s artistry and skill – “Park Bom’s skills are still superb. Most people won’t be disappointed. Instead of being flamboyant or strong, we tried to express a special emotion. I included the vibe I had when I was in YG, but it’s not a reproduction of Park Bom’s previous image. It’ll be a totally different concept.”
Regarding the music, Brave Brothers commented – “It’s a very good song, to the extent that I can confidently say that it’s the best female track I’ve ever made. I can assure you that it’s the best. When it’s released, people will say out of surprise, ‘This song is produced by Brave Brothers?’ It’s a song like no other. You can really look forward to it.”
With a hit producer like Brave Brothers, a strong feature in the form of former group and labelmate Dara and a vocal ability that is irreplaceable in the K-Pop world, all eyes are on Bom as she steps back into the music industry.
