On January 23, OMEGA X released a statement regarding Song Hangyeom’s military enlistment and said the following:

“Hello.

As always, we wish to thank our fans for your continued support, and we would like to inform you that Hangyeom has enlisted in the military.

Starting on February 6, Hangyeom will be fulfilling his military service obligation as social service personnel. He will first perform alternative service under the ‘Advance Service’, and there will be no official ceremony on the day he starts his service. Fans are asked to refrain from visiting his workplace during his alternative service.

Finally, we would like to extend our warmest wishes and encouragement to Hangyeom as he completes his military service and returns safely, and we will continue to support and care for our artists.

Hangyeom, formerly known professionally as A-Day debuted as a member of OMEGA X in 2021. In 2024, he made his acting debut with the Korean BL, ‘Jazz For Two’ playing Seo Do Yun.

OMEGA X is an 11-member group currently represented by IPQ. They debuted in 2021 with the EP ‘Vamos’. In 2024, the group released their second Japanese mini-album, ‘To.’.
