Nongshim is launching ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ themed snacks and ramyeon!
On August 20, Korea’s leading instant noodle maker, Nongshim, announced the launch of a new line of snacks and ramyeon inspired by the hit animated Netflix film ‘KPop Demon Hunters.’
Beginning in late August, characters from the film—including HUNTR/X members Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, as well as the Saja Boys and Derpy the tiger—will be featured on special edition packaging for Shin Ramyun and Saeukkang (Shrimp Crackers). Additionally, a customized design will appear on Shin Ramyun Toomba Sauce, which is also set to launch later this month.
Nongshim is also planning a series of promotional events and marketing campaigns targeting the film’s global fanbase. As part of the collaboration, a limited-edition cup noodle inspired by those eaten by HUNTR/X in the movie will also be released.
The company noted that several food items featured in the film were strikingly similar to their products. They stated, “The frequent appearance of the K-food staple, ramyeon, in the film has naturally led to growing interest in Nongshim, laying the groundwork for the collaboration.” They also added, “Just as the show introduced K-culture to the world, we hope to share the authentic taste of Korean ramyeon and snacks through this unique collaboration.”
The limited-edition collaboration will be available in Korea, North America, Europe, Oceania, and major Southeast Asian countries.
