“This is a statement from ADOR.
NewJeans’ members Haerin and Hyein have expressed their intent to continue their activities with ADOR.
After careful consideration and thorough discussions with their families, the two members have decided to respect the court’s ruling and uphold their exclusive contracts.
ADOR will do our utmost so that Haerin and Hyein can continue their entertainment activities smoothly.
We ask for the fans’ warm support and urge everyone to refrain from making unfounded speculations about the members.
Thank you.”
Shortly after that, members Minji, Hanni, and Danielle released a joint statement, sharing, “After careful discussion, we have decided on our return to ADOR. This was relayed late as one member is currently in Antarctica, but as ADOR has not yet responded, we are inevitably announcing this separately. We will continue greeting you with sincere music and performances.”
On November 13, ADOR responded, “We are checking on the truth of Minji, Hanni, and Danielle’s intent to return.” A representative further revealed, “We are working on scheduling individual meetings with the NewJeans members and will do our utmost to ensure the discussions proceed smoothly.”
Following this, former CEO Min Hee Jin also released a statement expressing full support for NewJeans’ decision to reunite under ADOR, emphasizing the importance of preserving the group as five members. She also clarified that her legal dispute with HYBE is separate from the group and asked fans to continue supporting both her and NewJeans.
“Hello, this is Min Hee Jin.
With many inquiries coming in, I would like to share my position.
I believe the decision the members made yesterday to return together was reached after deep deliberation and discussion. I respect and support that choice.
Despite the difficulties, I deeply value the courage of the members who joined hands again to protect one another.
I can start anew anywhere.
However, I believe that under any circumstances, NewJeans must be kept intact as five members.
I hope the members grow stronger and that NewJeans becomes an even better group, and above all, that all five members are happy.
More than anything, thank you to fans who stood by NewJeans even in difficult times. Please give a warm welcome to the members as they overcome these challenges and make their return.
I too will watch over NewJeans’ music and growth and support them to the very end.
During this period, as multiple lawsuits proceeded simultaneously, a difficult time has been prolonged for all of us.
The litigation between HYBE and me is entirely separate and has nothing to do with NewJeans. As an individual, I am doing my very best and hope the truth will be brought to light. I ask for your continued support.”
This marks a significant turning point in the ongoing dispute between the agency and NewJeans. The conflict began when the group announced their departure from the company and briefly carried out independent activities under the name ‘NJZ’. However, the court ultimately ruled in favor of ADOR, affirming the validity of the members’ exclusive contracts.
