The teaser opens with an intense exchange as Sang Yeon, portrayed by Park Ji Hyun, hurls harsh words at Eun Jung, played by Kim Go Eun, who responds with resentment. As the teaser unfolds, Eun Jung says, “Even if it’s just once, I wish I could truly understand how Sang Yeon feels,” hinting at misunderstandings that fueled their distance. Director Cho Young Min explained, “I felt that ‘companionship’ is the defining tone of this project. As you follow the lives of Eun Jung and Sang Yeon, you may find yourself confronting your past self, thinking of an old friend, or connecting it to your own life—or the lives of those around you. I believe you may come to understand someone, forgive someone, or even discover yourself.”
‘You and Everything Else’ premieres on Netflix on September 12.
