Netflix has dropped an action-packed trailer for its upcoming animated feature ‘KPop Demon Hunters’!
Set in Seoul, Korea, the film follows three glamorous K-pop idols—Rumi, Mira, and Zoey—who moonlight as demon hunters. By day, they sell out stadiums and perform for thousands of fans; by night, they battle supernatural threats that lurk in the shadows.
The newly released trailer showcases the girls facing their most dangerous challenge yet—a rival boy band that’s not just competing for fame but secretly plotting to eliminate them. These seemingly perfect performers are actually demons in disguise, and their goal is to steal the spotlight and souls.
The star-studded voice cast includes Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ji-young Yoo as the demon-hunting trio, alongside Ahn Hyo Seop in his English voice-acting debut as Jinu, a mysterious character with ties to their new enemies. Other notable names lending their voices include Lee Byung Hun, Daniel Dae Kim, and Ken Jeong.
In a special treat for K-pop fans, TWICE’s Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung contribute an original song titled ‘TAKEDOWN’, which was previewed in the trailer.
Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ is set to be a must-watch this summer, especially for fans of K-pop, supernatural stories, and action-packed animation.
‘KPop Demon Hunters’ is set to premiere on June 20 on Netflix.
