SM further reported that Taeil is cooperating fully with the police investigation. The company expressed its deep apologies caused by the actions of its artist and stated, “We will provide additional updates depending on the progress of the investigation.”
According to some reports, Bangbae Police Station has confirmed an ongoing investigation involving former NCT member Taeil and his connection to potential sexual crimes. However, the case is not related to sexual crimes against minors of the same sex as speculated. Chief Choi Young Ki of Seoul’s Bangbae Police Station has reportedly stated, “I have only been informed that NCT’s Taeil is being investigated by the Bangbae Police Station. I am not aware of the timing of the complaint or the specific charges.”
Furthermore, the youth and women’s division director at the Bangbae Police Station, Lee In Chun, purportedly commented, “The detailed information, which is currently not available as it’s after work hours, will be confirmed tomorrow.”
Taeil debuted as part of NCT’s unit NCT U in 2016 and has been active as a member of NCT and its affiliated group NCT 127.
