Mark drops a teaser for the title track ‘1999’!
On April 6 at midnight KST, NCT’s Mark unveiled the teaser for his highly anticipated title track ‘1999’ from his upcoming solo debut album, ‘The Firstfruit’. The teaser offers a captivating preview of the music video, set in a world full of bold colours, Y2K-inspired visuals, and nostalgic vibes, with small details that serve as Easter eggs connecting to Mark’s journey, making the video even more enjoyable.

The music video storyline follows Mark, a pop star from the year 2025, who saves citizens deceived by fake information in a chaotic world set in the fictional year 1999, amidst the millennium bug. The story is expected to showcase many facets of Mark as he transforms into multiple characters, highlighting both his acting range and signature stage presence.
‘1999’ is a bright, upbeat pop track featuring funky guitar riffs, brass, and whistles. The song celebrates Mark’s joy in the moment as he bears the first fruit of his solo album, while also reflecting on the year he was born, 1999, marking this moment as both a personal and professional rebirth.
‘The Firstfruit’ consists of a total of 13 tracks, including the pre-released singles ‘200’, ‘Fraktsiya’ featuring Lee Youngji, and +82pressin’ featuring Haechan.
Mark’s first solo album ‘The Firstfruit’ and the music video for ‘1999’ will be released on April 7 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST).
