NCT’s Doyoung Makes a Generous Donation for Children and Teenagers in Need
On July 11, The Direct Donation, a donation platform, revealed that NCT member Doyoung made a heartfelt donation of 100 million won through their platform to support children and teenagers in need. His contribution is aimed at helping children in need of protection, as well as teenagers preparing to leave child welfare facilities and begin an independent life.
This donation fulfills a commitment Doyoung made during the promotion of his second solo album, ‘Soar’. At the time, he promised fans he would make a donation if he won first place on a music show. After achieving three first-place wins with the album’s title track, ‘Memory’, he kept that promise.
Doyoung also shared a heartfelt message with fans, saying, “Thanks to the love of my Czennies, I received the precious gift of first place, and I’m truly grateful to be able to keep my meaningful pledge of making a donation. I hope that my [contribution] can be of even the slightest help to children and young people preparing for a new start. Just like the message of my album, I am cheering them on and hoping that they can find ‘the strength to dream’ to their hearts’ content.”
A representative from The Direct Donation stated, “We are grateful for Doyoung’s continued partnership with The Direct Donation following his previous birthday donation. We will ensure that his warm support reaches young adults preparing for independence and children in need.”
Earlier this year, Doyoung made a similar charitable donation on his birthday to help provide meals for children in need.
