The title song Sticker is a hip-hop dance song with an addictive signature flute sauce and rhythmic vocals clubbed with a powerful bass. The members Taeyong and Mark participated in the rap making as the song speaks about always being together “like a sticker” with the person you love.
About the MV:
The opening scene of the MV starts off with leader Lee Taeyong’s breathtaking visuals followed by the familiar flute music heard in the teaser. He and member Jaehyun are seen dressed shirtless in fiery leather suits styled with accessories and what seems to look like cowboy buckled belts. The scene then follows to all the members in dark silhouettes performing a marvelous choreography as the music picks up the pace. But what made fans go haywire was the the charming dimple king Jung Jaehyun’s sensuous lip bite for 2 seconds straight.
Intro:
Taeyong starts off with the line “Sticker tagging tagging tagging tagging I got what you need. Pick what you want and stick it on” indistinctly talking about how NCT has various content for every emotion and state of mind that a human can feel. Where one can look for them during any such phase and they’re there for them.
They do their signature hand sign and say “NCT we will show you the vibe. Hi our logo in the shape of a gun” following the lines “Sticker Bang Bang look at the kids holding their heads up high” Subtly saying that their logo shaped in the form of a gun and can shoot away anyone who comes at them with inferior attitudes.
After some impressive transitions from scene to scene during the intro the vocalist Kim Doyoung takes over in the center by leading the members of the group while all of them are dressed in stylish whites and blacks. The Japanese member Nakamoto Yuta is seen perfectly standing on a motorcycle while he twirls around an LED lit whip. The scene then moves to Jaehyun dancing to a smooth choreo and then the puppy of the group Kim Jungwoo takes over while shooting hearts with his adorable charms. Sings “Baby don’t be afraid. Think about your star oh!” referring to Cezennies that they can think of NCT 127 as their star and they don’t need to be afraid of haters. Two worlds referring to Neos and the fans when they’re together there’s love – “When the two worlds collide on earth, we call that L.O.V.E ah.”
The Chicago born rapper Johnny Suh suddenly appears with his badass biker charm while the background boasts of a calm sunset while the spotlight focuses only on him. “When it’s just the two of us, just be sweet like sugar. Don’t bother minding others. You’re the boss” saying that when it’s just with them the fans can be sweet like sugar and loving. How the fans have stuck together with them for so long and that they’ve only been growing larger like a BOSS.
The Canadian born rapper Mark Lee shows off his serious charm as he raps his verse “Don’t worry, just trust me. Only you can do that if you want it, then it’s yours.” and shoots straight at the screen causing it to crack.
The Chorus:
As the song progresses towards the chorus, Taeyong and Yuta are seen leading the group while occasionally exchanging position and performing the hook step ‘Sticker’ with their palms clasped together and singing
“Just stay close to me like a Sticker Sticker Sticker. You’re the main character in my masterpiece. Like a sticker Sticker Sticker.”
Indirectly telling the fans to trust them and stick to them just like a Sticker. The fans lead Neo city, and Cezinnies are the building blocks of NCT(NCitY). Telling them to forget about the world outside their Neo city and just write their own story. “Forget about the troubling world. Just write down the history of you and me” sings the main vocalist and eldest of the group Moon Taeil while grooving and dancing to the music as he now leads the center along with his beautiful vocals.
As the song continues the rap begins to slowly take over the melody. Mark wears a green LED studded denim jacket as he raps “I’m the sticker for your love, so if you hear it, answer me right away” as the song is about sticking to the one you love.
Lee Haechan, the maknae of the group is deeply involved in his aggressive lover boy character as he sings “you pull me so hard like crazy” depicting that it’s not just how the fans have to stick to them but also how they are indeed pulled towards the fans like crazy and are stuck to NCTzens. Taeil appears sitting luxuriously on a comfortable chair while caressing a chihuahua.
Yuta and Jungwoo emerge as a dance duo showing off their moves later taken over by Do Young, Jaehyun and followed by the rest of the members. Mark is then seen doing the hook step along with Johnny for the 2nd chorus while Haechan’s mesmerizing voice follows by leading the group and singing “Don’t say much other than I love you.”
Bridge:
The bridges of NCT 127 songs have always been uniquely spectacular and yet again, Sticker has lived up to the expectations. The vocalists play with their voices creating a harmonious high notes like never before. “Let’s throw a party just for the two of us. Only you’re my V.I.P” here, the Neos and NCTzens need to enjoy whatever we’ve achieved till date as the fans are very important and are worth celebrating with. You’ll see a new combination of Jaehyun and Yuta singing in harmony.
Outro:
“Roll up to the party roll up roll up to the yeah yeah yeah” this part of the MV where all the members are seen powerfully dancing together is how they’d want the fans to celebrate along with them. Mark ends the song along with the members standing behind him as he rolls two guns like a cowboy and puts them in his pockets.
To watch this beautiful masterpiece check out their MV! We recommend to watch out at minutes 2:39 of the MV to observe a magical glittery transition from Jaehyun to Taeil that’s worth appreciating.
