Moonbin’s close friends are set to release a memorial song to commemorate the second anniversary of his passing.
On March 28, Korean media outlets reported that Moonbin’s close friends are coming together to release a commemorative song in April. ASTRO’s agency Fantagio confirmed the reports and added, “This song will be structured as a letter from his friends to Moonbin, and we will share more details about the participating artists and the song soon. We hope that this song will serve as both comfort and a heartfelt gift to the fans who continue to remember and love Moonbin.”
While the full lineup for the memorial song has yet to be confirmed, Korean media outlets reported that some of the participants include Moonbin’s sister, Billie’s Moon Sua, along with ASTRO members Cha Eun Woo, MJ, JinJin, and Sanha, SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan and DK, along with members of VIVIZ.
Additional reports stated that MONSTA X’s I.M, Kihyun, and Minhyuk, SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi, Wonwoo, and Mingyu, Ungjae, Choi Yoo Jung, Kim Do Yeon, SF9’s Chani, and Stray Kids’ Bang Chan will also be participating in the tribute. Notably, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo has reportedly played a key role in organizing the project.
This tribute follows last year’s commemorative releases, including ‘Fly’ by Jinjin, Cha Eun Woo’s cover of ‘Stalker,’ and ‘Dandelion’ by Seungkwan for Moonbin’s first death anniversary. Additionally, SEVENTEEN’s Woozi released his solo track ‘What Kind of Future’ on Moonbin’s birthday last year.
The second-anniversary memorial song is set to be released on April 19, 2025.
