ASTRO, Billlie’s Moon Sua, and Moonbin’s Friends Release Heartfelt Tribute Song for the Late Idol
On April 19 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST), ASTRO released an emotional song, ‘Memory of the Moon’, to honor Moonbin on his second death anniversary. The song features 22 artists, including Moonbin’s sister Moon Sua, and all members of ASTRO, including former member Rocky.
The other artists who participated in the project include VIVIZ; MONSTA X’s Minhyuk, Kihyun, and I.M; SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi, Wonwoo, Mingyu, DK, and Seungkwan; HELLO GLOOM; Choi Yoojung; Kim Doyeon; SF9’s Chani; and Stray Kids’ Bang Chan.
With lyrics like “When the moon door opens, will you be standing there? / A happy face greeting me with a bright smile” and “Dreaming of the day we meet again / Missing each other in a different place / Someday we will meet in the same place,” the song expresses the deep longing felt by Moonbin’s friends and family to see him again. Ending the track with the words “Bin-ah, we love you” adds a heartwarming and emotional touch.
Styled as a letter to Moonbin, the song was composed by ASTRO’s JinJin, with all members of the group, including Rocky, contributing to the lyrics. Notably, all proceeds from the song will be donated to charitable organizations.
