Actress Moon Geun Young may be making her small screen comeback with a starring role in a new drama!
According to Korean news outlet Ilgan Sports, the actress will be taking on the lead role of tvN‘s new drama titled ‘Catch A Ghost/Catch Yoo Ryung‘.
However, a source from Namoo Actors has stated – “It is true that Moon Geung Young has received an offer for ‘Catch the Ghost.’ We are currently looking over it.”
The drama will be directed by producing director Shin Yoon Seob and the script written by Lee Young Joo.
The new drama revolves around the main character Yoo Ryung, a bold rookie detective with an overflowing sense of justice and exceptional spatial perception, who joins the Wangsimni subway station constabulary. The drama will follow Yoo Ryung as she searches for her missing autistic twin sibling with her pseudo-psychic spatial perception abilities. The drama has also been described as a romantic investigative drama.
If Moon Geun Young decides to take on the role of Yoo Ryung in this drama, it will be her first drama since the 2015 release ‘The Village Achiara’s Secret‘.
The actress was diagnosed with Acute Compartment Syndrome in February 2017 and took a break to recover after undergoing multiple surgeries. Since fully recovering last year, the actress has made a few variety show appearances and is yet to make a small screen or big screen comeback.
