MEOVV is back with a refreshing summer track!
On April 28 at 6:00 PM KST (2:30 PM IST), MEOVV released their pre-release single ‘HANDS UP’ from the upcoming EP ‘MY EYES OPEN VVIDE’. ‘HANDS UP’ is Brazilian funk tracks, delivering an energetic performance with a fast-paced rhythm and unique synth sounds. It highlights the group’s distinctive style while also showcasing a fresh range of rap and vocals.
The music video for ‘HANDS UP’ captures the song’s energetic vibe with dynamic choreography and numerous hand movements. It introduces a new side of the members, with scenes of them playing Go board and striking various poses throughout. The MV highlights the group’s confidence, from their visuals to their acting and dancing.
During the countdown live, MEOVV shared that the single reflects the group’s journey of overcoming personal struggles and hardships as artists, persevering without giving up and continuously moving forward. With bold aspirations for personal growth and an energetic beat that makes you want to raise your hands, it’s the perfect track for the upcoming summer.
Additionally, the members shared insights about their upcoming first EP, with member Gawon revealing that she and Narin took part in writing the lyrics for one of the tracks. Both members had previously contributed to the single ‘TOXIC,’ which will also be featured on the EP.
To celebrate the release of their EP ‘MY EYES OPEN VVIDE’, MEOVV will hold a comeback showcase. They have also announced additional events, including a video call fansign event scheduled for May 18.
‘MY EYES OPEN VVIDE’ is scheduled to be released on May 12 at 6:00 PM KST (2:30 PM IST).
