Moon Byul is back with a brand new mini-album!
On August 20 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST), MAMAMOO’s Moon Byul made her long-awaited comeback with her fourth mini album, ‘laundri.’ This marks her return since the release of her EP ‘Starlit of Twinkle: Repackage’ in August 2024.
‘laundri’ in the album is used as a metaphor to express Moon Byul’s way of washing away emotions. The album consists of a total of eight tracks. The title track ‘Goodbyes and Sad Eyes’ conveys heartfelt messages about shaking off all the sad emotions and eventually becoming happy in your own way, with an upbeat band sound, drums and guitar riffs. The music video perfectly captures the track’s emotions with colorful visuals and smooth choreography.
B-side tracks on the album include ‘Cotton’, ‘Da Capo’, ‘Chocolate Tea’, ‘DRIP’, ‘Over You’, ‘Take-off’, and the pre-released single ‘ICY BBY’, each track delivers impactful lyrics with Moon Byul’s strong vocals and signature sound while staying consistent with the theme of ‘laundri’.
Moon Byul contributed to writing and composing the tracks and was deeply involved in shaping the album, weaving in her personal stories and highlighting her growth not just as a singer, but as an artist. Through the album, she hopes to leave a warm, lasting impression on the listener’s heart.
