Lee Min Young has been cast as Empress Cheonchu in the new KBS historical drama ‘The Goryeo-Khitan War.’
‘The Goryeo-Khitan War‘ tells the story of King Hyeonjong of Goryeo’s conflict with Khitan and its supreme commander Kang Gam Chan.
Lee Min Young will play Empress Cheonchu, the granddaughter of Goryeo founder Wang Geon and the wife of King Gyeongjong. She is also Mokjong’s mother. Actor Gong Jung Hwan has been cast as Kim Chi Yang (Empress Cheonchu’s lover).
‘The Goryeo-Khitan War‘ will be featured as KBS’s 50th-anniversary celebration plan and the drama will air in the second half of this year.
