Lee Do Hyun is officially returning to the small screen with his much-anticipated comeback drama, and joining him as the female lead is rising star Shin Si Ah. Penned by the beloved Hong Sisters, the duo behind hit dramas like ‘Hotel Del Luna’ and ‘Alchemy of Souls’, ‘Grand Galaxy Hotel’ promises a cosmic blend of fantasy, romance, and emotional depth, with a touch of their signature charm.
This marks Lee Do Hyun’s first project after completing his military service, and notably, his second collaboration with the Hong Sisters following the widely-loved ‘Hotel Del Luna’. Known for his nuanced acting and emotional range, the actor is expected to bring another unforgettable character to life. His agency, YUEHUA Entertainment Korea, shared that they are grateful for the overwhelming support and numerous offers Lee Do Hyun has received for various projects, including advertisements. After careful consideration, he has chosen ‘Grand Galaxy Hotel’ as his comeback project. As it’s been a long wait, they asked for warm support and anticipation from fans.
Meanwhile, the same day, it was also confirmed that rising actress Shin Si Ah will be starring opposite him as the female lead. Her agency, Management SOOP, responded to the earlier reports by stating, “Shin Si Ah has confirmed her role in ‘Grand Galaxy Hotel’.” Notably, actress Go Min Si was originally announced as the female lead earlier this year, but she has since stepped down from the role.
‘Grand Galaxy Hotel’ is already generating immense buzz for reuniting the Hong Sisters with an actor who shone under their storytelling once before. With their flair for creating enchanting universes and complex, lovable characters, the drama is expected to take viewers on an emotionally rich and visually stunning journey.
Slated to begin filming in the second half of 2025, ‘Grand Galaxy Hotel’ is shaping up to be one of the year’s most highly anticipated dramas. With a star-studded team and a title that hints at otherworldly charm, this upcoming project might just become your next favorite K-drama destination.
Stay tuned, because check-in begins soon—and this hotel might be serving more than just stardust.
