Kwon Jung Yeol is back in the spotlight as the new host of ‘The Seasons.’
10CM’s Kwon Jung Yeol has officially been announced as the eighth MC of KBS’s flagship late-night music talk show ‘The Seasons.’ The announcement came with a heartfelt twist — not through a press release, but directly from Kwon Jung Yeol himself during the encore stage of 10CM’s concert ‘5.0’ at the Olympic Hall on August 10 KST.
As the night came to a close, he shared with the cheering crowd, “I’m the next MC of ‘The Seasons,’ following Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile.” The announcement was met with a roar of excitement, a fitting soundtrack to a career milestone. With a smile, he added, “I’m both nervous and excited to host under my own name. The program will air every Friday starting in September.”

‘The Seasons’ was first launched in 2023 and has become a rotating stage for some of Korea’s most magnetic high-profile celebrity MCs — from Jay Park and Choi Jung Hoon of JANNABI to AKMU, Lee Hyo Ri, Zico, Lee Young Ji, and most recently, Park Bo Gum — each leaving their own signature style. This appointment for Kwon Jung Yeol carries extra weight, as 10CM holds the record for the most appearances across both Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook and The Seasons series, making his return as host a full-circle moment in his artistic journey.
Kwon Jung Yeol is no stranger to breaking ground in the Korean indie scene. As one half of 10CM, he became the first indie act to headline the KSPO DOME (formerly the Olympic Gymnastics Arena), all while crafting anthems like ‘Stalker,’ ‘Phonecert,’ and ‘Gradation’ that have become modern classics. His recent single ‘To Reach You’ dominated digital charts for weeks, proof that his bond with listeners is as strong as ever.
Now, with ‘The Seasons,’ audiences will get to see another side of him — not just the singer, but the storyteller, the conversationalist, and the gracious host. Fans can expect his signature warmth and wit, paired with the program’s trademark intimacy that blends live music with candid conversation.
Starting this September 5 KST, Friday nights will carry a new kind of encore — one where Kwon Jung Yeol’s voice isn’t just singing to the audience, but speaking directly to them.
