Korean Tourism Organization Announces Pre Launch Event – Win a ‘Virtual Real-Time Tour of Korea’ From Home!

Will you believe us if we say Korea Tourism Organization is now offering a pre-launch event for us to experience a special virtual tour of Korea guided by professionals for FREE? Well, you should!

 

Here’s everything you need to know about this exciting virtual event.

 

 

 

TOUR PROGRAMS:

You can choose ANY ONE program from the following 3 programs.

 

1. Gyeongbokgung Palace Walking Tour:

 

 

In this program, you can take a tour of the beautiful Gyeongbokgung Palace & visit many famous K-Drama sets with a professional guide and get tips on taking photos in the Palace wearing Hanbok (Traditional Korean Clothing).

This tour is scheduled on 30 June, 2 July, 5 July, 7 July, 9 July, 12 July at 16:30-17:30 KST i.e., 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. IST. A total number of 30 persons will be allowed per a session.

So, if you love to visit famous places from historical dramas & learn few tips about Hanbok, this is for you.

 

2. Explore The World of Soju & Cook Korean Food:

 

 

In this tour, you can make delicious cocktails with soju and learn a lot of things about traditional Korean soju & Korean drinking culture. Also, you can take Korean cooking class to make food that goes well with soju.

 

This is an online experience of making Korean food and drinking Soju together. All you need to do is prepare all the ingredients for the cooking class in advance.

 

Required ingredients-

Kimchi White Pancake: ½ cup of all-purpose wheat flour (70g), 1tbsp of Starch, 50g of White or Red napa Kimchi etc.

 

Soju Cocktail: 100ml of Soju, 300ml of Beer, ½ea Cucumber, ½ea Banana etc.

 

Further details will be announced separately after the winners are selected.

This tour is scheduled on 3^rd & 10^th of July at 10:00-11:00 KST i.e., 6:30 a.m.-7:30 a.m. IST and there will be up to 30 persons for session

 

3. Makgeolli Brewery Tour:

 

 

In this tour, you can brew a homemade Makgeolli (Korean rice beer), learn about traditional Korean liquor and take a virtual tour of a Korean brewery. You can also get tips for travelling to a representative city of makgeolli.

 

You need to prepare the following ingredients beforehand.

1,000g steamed rice, 200g of Nuruk (Korean fermentation starter) or 200g of Malt, 2g of Yeast, 1.3L of water etc.

More details will be announced separately after the winners are selected. This tour is scheduled on 7^th & 8^th of July at 10:00-11:00 KST i.e., 6:30 a.m.-7:30 a.m. IST. There will be up to 30 members per session.

 

And you don’t have to worry about the language barrier. All these tours will be conducted in ENGLISH.

Winners will be announced on 28^th June through the post on the board of the Korea International Travel Expo website (click here)
