On June 12, Korean soloist and R&B artist, SAAY, dropped her new English digital single, ‘DOMINO‘.
‘DOMINO’ represents the conflicted feelings of anticipation and anxiety that anyone who yearns for success feels and reflects the complicated journey that SAAY has taken during her decade-long career. While constant and dedicated work can lead to success, a single mistake can be the reason for a downfall, much like a domino.
“I wanted to express our feelings of insecurity and imperfectness. I had to do it for me and for us.” – SAAY
‘DOMINO’ written and co-composed by SAAY, is her first release in seven months since her last single ‘RollerCoaster‘. She collaborated with the popular male dance crew WE DEM BOYS and dancer IBAN for the official music video of ‘DOMINO’.
SAAY debuted as the leader of the five-member K-Pop group EvoL in 2012, and after their disbandment in 2015, SAAY signed with Universal Music Korea to focus on a more independent and artistically free solo career. Her music is a blend of R&B, hip-hop, and soul, often compared to Western artists for her vocal style and musical approach. She made her solo debut in 2017, and since then, SAAY has released numerous albums, and singles and collaborated with artists like Snoop Dog, Crush, and more.
