The upcoming 2025 KM Chart Awards are set to bring even more flair this year, with actors Kim Hye-yoon and Ong Seong-wu stepping in as official MCs.
On May 13, the KMA Organizing Committee confirmed the pair’s appearance as hosts for the second edition of the ceremony, which will take place in Korea on July 11. Known for their natural charm and communicative ease, the duo is expected to add fresh energy and a refined touch to the stage.
Organized by KM Chart, a platform dedicated to spotlighting K-music trends, the 2025 KMA is a celebration of the artists who’ve made waves over the past year and the fans who’ve cheered them on. Following last year’s inaugural event, the show is evolving with a new name and a promise of even grander performances across genres.
Kim Hye-yoon, widely admired for her expressive roles in ‘Lovely Runner’ and ‘Extraordinary You’, continues to shape her identity as a voice of youth dramas. Having already showcased her composure as a live MC at the SBS Drama Awards, her return to hosting is highly anticipated.
Ong Seong-wu, too, has steadily carved out a name for himself in the acting world with roles in ‘Moment of Eighteen’ and ‘Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon’. His recent appearances in fan meetings, interviews, and variety shows have also highlighted his quick wit, making him a strong on-stage presence to watch.
Previously launched as the Universal Superstar Awards in 2024, the revamped KMAs aim to expand their global presence this year, with a refreshed format, genre-spanning performances, and exciting new stages.
Expect cross-genre stages, surprises, and a lot to look forward to.
