The Regional Rounds of the K-Pop Contest India 2022 have officially ended, and the Online Round winners did their best to show off their talents and capabilities.
HallyuWave Nagaland, in association with the Korean Culture Center India, hosted the regional round for the city of Kohima on June 11. The eligible contestants competed for the titles of winners in the respective dance and vocal categories and the winners were announced on 16th June.

Cover group H1ME were judged as the winners of the Dance category. This is however not their first win and they have won the Kohima Regional Round of the K-Pop Contest India in 2020 & 2021 as well. The current H1ME group consist of 4 members and their cover on KARD’s ‘Bomb Bomb’ earned them the victory trophy. The 1st RUNNER UP was Chumbeni T Odyuo while the second 2nd RUNNER UP was won by Hephzibah Naoroibam.

With strong vocals and cover of ‘Maniac’ by STRAY KIDS, Esther Toppo took home the vocal crown. The 1st Runner Up was Humunulu Gurhan while the 2nd Runner Up was Pekrusanuo Kiewhou.
Kohima fans also took the regional round further by having a K-POP Party in two offline locations. The Regional round + BTS anniversary celebration took place at Kohima while the K-POP Yeorum Party took place at The Hallyu Town Cafe – A Korean Concept café in Dimapur, Nagaland.
The champions of both categories will represent Kohima in the K-Pop India Contest 2022 Final Round on July 9th, where all 20 winners from 20 regions will compete against one another for first place.
