“That’s the funny thing about hope. Nobody else gets to decide if you feel it. That choice belongs to you.” – Rumi (K-Pop Demon Hunters)
K-pop has long been known for its dazzling visuals, high-energy performances, and meticulously crafted idol groups. But in an electrifying genre mashup, the spotlight now shines on fictional boy and girl groups who don’t just fight demons and allure fans but also make their debut on the Billboard music charts as well.

The Plot
The movie follows the lives of the fictional K-pop girl group Huntr/x, comprising Rumi, Mira, and Zoey. The trio belongs to a long legacy of women demon hunters. With the power of their music, and under the guidance of Celine, they maintain a magical barrier known as the Honmoon. Their goal is to strengthen the Honmoon into the Golden Honmoon, which prevents demons from feeding souls to their demon lord, Gwi-Ma, and banishes them permanently.
However, enraged by his minions’ repeated failures, Gwi-Ma enlists a group of demons to execute a dangerous plan—devised by a demon named Jinu to form a K-pop boy group called the Saja Boys. The two groups then engage in battle both on and off the stage, where Jinu accidentally discovers that Rumi is part demon— a secret she hides even from her bandmates.
During an awards ceremony, demons trick Rumi into revealing her true self, causing a rift between her and the bandmates. But as Gwi-Ma unleashes chaos, Rumi sings a healing song that breaks the spell. In the end, Jinu realizes his mistake and sacrifices himself to save Rumi. Huntr/x defeats Gwi-Ma and creates the Golden Honmoon.
