The Plot
When Words Fail, Love Speaks.
Meet Joo Ho-jin (Kim Seon-ho), a ‘linguistic genius’ interpreter fluent in seven languages but utterly illiterate in the language of love. His perfectly ordered world is turned upside down when he is hired to interpret for Cha Mu-hee (Go Youn-jung), a globally adored actress turned reality TV star.
From their awkward first encounter in Japan to a chaotic reunion on the dating show Romantic Trip, where Ho-jin must interpret between Mu-hee and her charming Japanese co-star Hiro (Sota Fukushi), their journey is filled with misunderstandings, hilarious clashes, and moments where no translation is needed.
As Ho-jin finds himself emotionally invested in the woman he is supposed to merely translate for, he learns that some feelings go beyond vocabulary.
The Characters
Joo Ho-jin (Played by Kim Seon-ho)
Kim Seon-ho brings his signature warmth and comedic timing to the role of Ho-jin, a man who can navigate seven languages but can’t decode his own heart. His journey from a rigid interpreter to an emotionally awakened romantic is as endearing as it is relatable.
Cha Mu-hee / Do Ra-mi (Played by Go Youn-jung)
Go Youn-jung delivers a strong performance as a vibrant, strong-willed actress accustomed to the spotlight but longing for sincerity. Her chemistry with Kim Seon-ho is effective, balancing lively banter with moments of quiet, heartfelt connection.
The Supporting Cast
Hiro Kurosawa (Played by Sota Fukushi)
The charismatic Japanese actor and Mu-hee’s co-star on Romantic Trip, whose easy charm contrasts with Ho-jin’s stiff sincerity, adds a layer of romantic tension.
Choi Woo-sung (Played by Kim Yong Woo)
Cha Mu-hee’s friend and longtime manager provides much of the comic relief and advice as Cha Mu-hee stumbles through her feelings.
Lee Yi-dam (Played by Shin Ji-woo)
A sharp and witty producer on Romantic Trip who notices the brewing chemistry between Ho-jin and Mu-hee and isn’t afraid to stir the pot.
