JYP Entertainment is targeting the Indian market!
On December 1, Korean insider source shared that JYP Entertainment is all set to expand its presence in the Indian market, following HYBE’s launch of its subsidiary HYBE INDIA in Mumbai and G-DRAGON’s agency Galaxy Corp.’s plans to enter the Indian market.
According to The Korea Herald, an insider stated, “JYP Entertainment is preparing to open its office in India to target the local music market. The exact location or timeline has not been decided, but the timing seems right as K-pop’s popularity continues to rise among younger generations in India.”
The agency has yet to confirm the news. If JYP Entertainment proceeds with its entry into the Indian market, it will mark its fourth international expansion, following the United States, Japan, and China.
JYP Entertainment is one of the pioneering entertainment companies in the Korean industry, led by producer Jin Young Park. The company is home to globally renowned artists such as TWICE, Stray Kids, ITZY, DAY6, 2PM, NMIXX, Xdinary Heroes, and rookie group KICKFLIP, Japanese groups NiziU and NEXZ, Chinese acts BOY STORY and YAOCHEN, and the U.S. girl group GIRLSET.
