Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung to Lead tvN’s Anticipated Historical Drama!
On October 31, tvN confirmed Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung as the lead actors for their upcoming weekend drama ‘Sejak‘ (literal title), directed by Jo Nam Gook and written by Kim Sun Deok, known for works such as tvN’s ‘The Crowned Clown’.’
‘Sejak’ revolves around the story of King Yi In, dealing with royal and political problems, and Kang Hee Soo, who initially planned to seduce the King for revenge but ends up falling for him, making the plot more interesting.
Jo Jung Suk is making a highly awaited comeback to television after a two-year hiatus since ‘Hospital Playlist’ Season 2 in 2021. Notably, he’s also gearing up for the release of films such as ‘Pilot’ (literal title) and ‘The Land of Happiness’ (working title).
Shin Se Kyung, renowned for her historical drama roles in series like ‘Deep Rooted Tree,’ ‘Six Flying Dragons,’ and ‘Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung,’ remains a consistent figure in the genre. She recently concluded her role as Tan Ya in the tvN drama, ‘Arthdal Chronicles 2’, which wrapped up on October 22.
The premiere of ‘Sejak‘ is scheduled for January next year. Further details regarding the drama are yet to be announced.
