BTS’ Jimin has set a new record on Spotify with his latest release.
As of December 16, BTS member Jimin’s solo track ‘Who’ became the fastest K-Pop song to reach 1.2 billion streams on Spotify. This milestone was achieved in a staggering 151 days, solidifying Jimin’s position as a K-Pop icon and breaking the previous record held by Harry Styles’ ‘As It Was,’ which reached the same milestone in 155 days.
Jimin’s impressive feat is a testament to his significant influence in the global music industry. His ability to connect with fans worldwide, even during his military service, truly reflects his dedication and passion for music. Notably, he became the first Korean solo artist in a decade to surpass 1 billion on-demand streams in the United States, a milestone last achieved by PSY.
The song ‘Who’ has garnered widespread recognition and acclaim, including being crowned Spotify’s Global Top K-Pop Song of the Year, further cementing Jimin’s status as a trailblazing artist. With ‘Who,’ Jimin has once again proven his artistic prowess and cemented his place in the music industry.
