IU returns with a new chapter in her remake series!
On May 27 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST), IU officially released the highly anticipated third installment of her remake album series, ‘A flower bookmark, Pt. 3’. In this project, she reimagines beloved classic songs with her own style and emotion, preserving their original charm while adding a fresh, personal touch.
‘A flower bookmark, Pt. 3’ contains a total of six songs with the title track ‘Never Ending Story’, a reinterpretation of rock band Boohwal’s original. The song is filled with emotional depth and gentle nostalgia, perfectly matched by IU’s warm vocals and a modern, acoustic arrangement.
The music video for ‘Never Ending Story’ features actor Heo Nam Jun and was created as a tribute to the film ‘Christmas in August’. Shot in a cinematic style that complements the track, the video captures the emotional depth of the original movie while showcasing the strong on-screen chemistry between IU and Heo Nam Jun. With stunning visuals and heartfelt performances, they bring to life a story that feels both intimate and profoundly moving.
The album also features tracks such as ‘Red Sneakers’, ‘October 4th’, ‘Last Scene’ featuring Wonstein, ‘A Beautiful Person’ featuring Balming Tiger, and ‘Square’s Dream’. This heartfelt album blends the nostalgic charm of the original tracks with emotional depth, offering a rich and evocative listening experience.
The third part marks the long-awaited return of the ‘A Flower Bookmark’ series, arriving nearly eight years after ‘A Flower Bookmark Pt. 2’ in 2017.
Through this series, IU breathes new life into classic Korean hits, once again showcasing her talent for blending nostalgia with a fresh emotional perspective.
