A new drama featuring IU and Byeon Woo Seok is coming soon!
On December 2, Kakao Entertainment confirmed that renowned artists IU and Byeon Woo Seok will appear together in MBC’s upcoming drama ‘Wife of a 21st Century Prince’ (working title).
With a backdrop of an alternate Korea that runs on a constitutional monarchy system, ‘Wife of a 21st Century Prince’ will feature a unique love story of Sung Hee Joo and Prince Lee Ahn.
Sung Hee Joo, essayed by IU, is a smart, bold, and beautiful character who belongs to a family of conglomerates in Korea. While her competitive nature and family background made her achieve it all, her commoner status created hurdles in life.
Byeon Woo Seok will play the role of Lee Ahn, a prince who has nothing but royal status as he is the King’s second son. He hides his identity throughout his life.
The meeting of Sung Hee Joo and Lee Ahn brings striking changes to their lives and sparks a special love story that the audience can witness in the drama.
‘Wife of a 21st Century Prince’ is co-produced by Kakao Entertainment and MBC and is set to air in the second half of 2025.
