IU generously donated 100 million Korean won to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation. Her label, EDAM Entertainment, announced the donation today via an official statement on social media.
IU’s agency thanked the fanbase for its unwavering support and described the contribution as an effort to show that it can be a reliable umbrella for people in need, even on rainy days. In related news, Miral Welfare Foundation had earlier revealed that IU provided the students of Miral School a school for differently abled children with a meal to mark Children’s Day. She prepared Pizza, Drinks & Rice Cakes for students & teachers of the School. The rice cakes were prepared by IU’s mother.
Prior to Children’s Day, actor Lee Byung Hun also generously donated to charity. Lee Byung Hun contributed 100 million Korean won, according to the Children’s Hospital at Seoul Asan Hospital to support pediatric patients and spread positivity to those around him. The generous donation from actor Lee Byung Hun is expected to be used to lower the medical costs for pediatric patients from low-income families, reduce the suffering of kids and their families dealing with life-threatening illnesses, and improve their quality of life through comprehensive medical services.
