INFINITE’s Sungjong has won a lawsuit against his former agency.
Recently, INFINITE member Sungjong won a lawsuit against his former agency, SPK Entertainment, over unpaid dues. In a ruling issued on February 28, the court stated, “The defendant (SPK Entertainment) must pay the plaintiff (Lee Sungjong) the settlement money calculated with an annual interest rate of 6 percent from April 21, 2023 to February 28, 2025 and with an annual interest rate of 12 percent from the following day until full repayment.”
In August 2022, Sungjong signed an exclusive contract with SPK Entertainment. However, he claimed that the agency failed to provide the promised signing bonus and support for his broadcasting appearances, fan meetings, and album releases.
After his attempts to resolve the issue through certification of contents requesting the agency to rectify the violations were ignored, Sungjong formally terminated his contract with SPK Entertainment last year. A provisional injunction was later granted, allowing him to resume his independent activities.
Sungjong also filed a lawsuit for over two years of unpaid earnings from his group activities with INFINITE, as well as from his appearances on YouTube and at Japanese fan meetings.
Meanwhile, INFINITE made their highly anticipated comeback on March 6 with their 8th mini-album, ‘LIKE INFINITE,’ while preparing for their 15th-anniversary tour, ‘LIMITED EDITION,’ which includes encore concerts on April 12 and 13 at Inspire Arena in Incheon.
