INFINITE‘s Dongwoo has finally debuted as a solo artist!
Dongwoo released his 1st solo album ‘Bye‘ along with the music videos for title track ‘News‘ and b-side track ‘Party Girl‘ on 4th March at 6pm KST. The album name is an acronym for “Beside You Every moment” as well as a goodbye as the rapper is preparing to enlist in the military to complete his mandatory service.
The album consists of 7 songs, including ‘I Am’, title track ‘News’ , ‘Gun’, ‘Romeo’, ‘Party Girl’, ‘Perfect’, and ‘Something Between’. The lyrics for the title track and ‘Gun‘ have been written by Dongwoo.
Title track ‘News‘ is a dreamy and sophisticated slow tempo track, and is about the confusion and emotions one feels after a separation. Dongwoo goes from singing to rapping, playing with the trendy sounds and beats. The lyrics of the song go like “Today you gave me a news, I never even thought about”.
B-side track ‘Party Girl‘ is the complete opposite and is a deep house track full of fresh synthesizer sounds. It’s about meeting someone new at a party and falling in love with that person.
