Idol-Actor Im Siwan has officially completed his mandatory military service.
Im Siwan, on the morning of 27th March, was discharged from the new recruit training camp of Yangju, where he had been serving as an assistant instructor.
The idol-actor met his fans and the press at a nearby place, away from the base camp so that any ongoing training at the time wouldn’t get disturbed.
He relayed his honest feelings to the press and fans, “I still can’t believe that I’m out already. It doesn’t feel real. I just feel ‘Ah, it ended. It’s a refreshing-sad feeling’.” He continued, “I can finally go home and sleep on my bed, without having to wake up at the sound of the horn tomorrow. It’ll finally feel real then.”
Im Siwan also thanked his fans saying, “My military service could be seen as long or short for some, but I’m thankful to everyone who waited. I feel like I should live with more gratitude.”
He also went on to take pictures with the fans who waited for the idol-actor since early morning.
Im Siwan also thanked all his colleagues and friends who visited him frequently, and gave him strength during his military service.
He even spoke briefly about his upcoming project, a drama based on the webtoon ‘Strangers From Hell’, he said, “My fellow soldier friends recommended the part to me first and told me it suits me well. I was excited and it felt amazing when I was offered the role. Please look forward to it.”
Shortly after, he opened his very own personal Instagram account. The news was first teased by his agency, PLUM Actors, who posted a video on their Instagram of Im Siwan creating the account and posting his first post.
