HYOLYN is back!
On September 2 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST), HYOLYN made her comeback with her striking new digital single titled ‘SHOTTY’, just a month after releasing her single ‘YOU AND I’ on July 15.
‘SHOTTY’ features a mix of an intense hip-hop beat and R&B tone, with layered synths and clean drums. Showcasing HYOLYN’s sensual and smooth vocals, the song conveys a strong statement through the lyrics, “Cause I, I’m (Not a story),” where she shares the message that people should not talk about others’ life stories, as each person stories are their own.
The music video elevates the mood of the track with HYOLYN’s classy, bold, and alluring looks. The video is focused on the choreography, with HYOLYN and the dancers performing smooth and sexy moves like a boss lady.
HYOLYN has directly participated in the production of the single, writing the track and composing it, adding her own touch of flair. The track also holds special meaning, as she shared that ‘SHOTTY’ is a track she has cherished for seven to eight years, wishing to make it her own song, but due to circumstances it was not possible, and now she can finally call it her song.
