HYBE Is on the Hunt for Its Next Girl Group in India!
On March 31, HYBE India announced the launch of the HYBE India Girl Group Audition through its official platforms, stating, “The search begins. To all the girls in India who dream of performing on a global stage—this is your moment.”

According to the guidelines, applications are open to applicants born between 2005 and 2011. Categories include vocal, rap, dance, acting, modeling, and others. The audition process will run until July 31, offering both online and offline participation.
In-person auditions will be held across major cities, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune, expanding accessibility for aspiring artists nationwide.
Lee Woo-chang, CEO of HYBE India, stated, “India has never lacked talent or ambition – what’s been missing is a consistent pathway to the global stage. This audition is where that process begins.”
The project has also drawn participation from major global brands including Samsung, H&M, Nongshim, and Shoppers Stop, with Snapchat and BookMyShow joining as media and ticketing partners.
As HYBE expands its presence in India, the company is setting the foundation to debut a globally positioned girl group representing the country.
