GOT7’s Youngjae finally takes his first step as a solo artist as fans around the world are ‘VIBIN’ to the title track of the artist’s first mini-album ‘COLORS from Ars’ released on October 5th.
The mini-album contains seven tracks along with ‘VIBIN’ serving as the title track and along with the mini-album, the fans also experience the ‘colours’ of ‘VIBIN’ from the music video. One of the best parts of the album is that Youngjae himself took part in writing, composing and producing all the songs under the alias ‘Ars’
The artist describes the title track as a house beat dance-pop song with a cool, clean and refreshing vibe. The lyrics tell us about a person who is unable to stop loving his lover and just wants to ‘vibe’ together with her whatever they might be doing. We can see the artist ‘VIBIN’ in his vintage car, driving along the road, moving and dancing to the song.
Along with the title track, six additional tracks depict six different ‘COLORS’ of the artist. ‘Beautiful’ shows the lovely atmosphere, ‘Tasty’ depicts the delicate and sensitive side of the artist, ‘Roses’ touches the heart of the lover, ‘Eternal’ is a pop ballad with sweet piano and guitar in the music. ‘Moonlight’ shines on the vocals of the artists and ‘Lonely’ which is R&B hip-hop relaying empathy and comfort to the listeners.
Meanwhile, after the release, the album topped the iTunes album chart in a total of 26 regions across the globe. The title track ‘VIBIN’ topped the US iTunes ‘Top 100 K-Pop Songs’ chart and the album topped the ‘Top 100 K-Pop Albums’ chart. The artist during his showcase thanked the fans for cheering him up for the solo album and asked them to keep looking forward to his future activities.
With the release of Youngjae’s album, all GOT7 members have made their solo debuts after they parted ways with JYP Entertainment. Fellow GOT7 member Bambam took to his twitter to share the same. The members of GOT7 have also been vibin to Youngjae’s debut song!
