cosmosy, a global girl group under NTT Docomo Studio & Live and Sony Music Entertainment Korea, made their official debut with ‘Lucky=One’ on April 11, 2025. Consisting of Japanese members kamión, himesha, de_hana, and a’mei, the four-member group is already stealing hearts with their charm, sincerity, and infectious energy. A multilingual group singing in Japanese, English, and Korean, cosmosy made their official global debut with ‘Lucky=One’, an all-English track that highlights their international focus.
In an exclusive chat with Namaste Hallyu, cosmosy opened up about their global debut track ‘Lucky=One’, how it differs from their pre-debut release ‘zigy=zigy’, and what fuels their bond as a group.
‘Lucky=One’ is an energetic song celebrating the confidence and hope of young people chasing their dreams. The group described the song as a reflection of their journey together and the serendipity that brought them close. “‘Lucky=One’ was inspired by the idea that sometimes, what seems like a small stroke of luck can actually lead to something meaningful,” shared kamión. “It’s like how cosmosy came together and became a group. How lucky are we to have met each other and to meet a lot of our fans from all over the world,” she added.
Building on the message behind the song, the members also opened up about the lyrics that resonated with them most. himesha pointed to the line: “Oh my god she pretty and tough/ Hot on the market and everybody be crushing/ Scratch card ballin’ betcha feel lucky.” She explained, “The reason why is because the meaning of the lyrics is cool and stylish, that it could even crush the music industry.” kamión added that the lyric “represents cosmosy” perfectly.
Their journey to debut began with the pre-release track ‘zigy=zigy’—an Afro-pop inspired dance song infused with traditional Eastern influences that captured the group’s unique identity. Featuring lyrics in Japanese, English, and Korean, ‘zigy=zigy’ delves into the emotional struggles teenage girls face with identity and breakups. Reflecting on their musical journey, cosmosy compared ‘Lucky=One’ to ‘zigy=zigy’, with himesha sharing, “Since ‘zigy=zigy’ was our pre-debut song, it was meaningful in the fact that everything was new and exciting. We were still young and inexperienced.”
‘Lucky=One’ is our official debut song, so through the ‘Lucky=One’ music video, we grew up and became grateful idols.
