Korean indie artist Garzón Robie is back with another genre-defying song that blends electronica textures. Released on June 6, his latest track, ‘That’s You’, is a playful yet poetic meditation on identity, presence, and multiplicity.
Merging dreamy electronica textures with minimalist production, ‘That’s You’ sits somewhere between the soft surrealism of dream pop and the emotive grooves of electronic soul. With lyrics that describe everything from stars to everyday objects as “you,” the song blurs the line between humor and deeper meaning. Robie says, “This is you. That is also you,” reminding us that identity isn’t fixed; it’s constantly shaped by the world around us. The track’s light, catchy production and imaginative lyrics offer a fun yet thoughtful take on how selfhood can shift and evolve.
The music video underscores this message, with Robie showing listeners how to embrace their quirks, flaws, and everything in between. He celebrates individuality and encourages listeners to do the same, because ‘That’s You,’ and there’s power in owning exactly who you are.
The video, which leans into the song’s surreal, identity-bending themes, was developed in collaboration with London-based designers Dhee Kim and Jiwon Kwon and shot by Christian Duyckers. Robie appears in bold, futuristic looks that feel more like statements than costumes, a cheeky visual celebration of being unapologetically and delightfully yourself.
