G-Dragon Tops ‘My Santa Claus’ Vote + Makes 100 Million KRW Donation

G-DRAGON took over as Santa Claus this Christmas!

On December 25, G-DRAGON won the ‘My Santa Claus’ voting event on the Idol Pick app. This win will lead to a generous donation of 100 million KRW to the Miral Welfare Foundation to support their child welfare project. As per his agency, G-DRAGON also made an additional personal contribution of 100 million KRW to the JusPeace Foundation, further showcasing his commitment to giving back to society.

The donation was announced during a special voting event organized by the popular fandom app Idol Pick and the prestigious ‘2024 SBS Music Awards’.

Prior to the announcement, G-DRAGON set the ‘2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon’ stage on fire with his electric performance. The idol headlined the closing ceremony of the event, dressed in a red suit and ribbon shoes, looking like a new-age Santa. He kickstarted his performance with ‘Shake The World’ VCR, followed by his latest track ‘POWER’. He also performed his classic hits ‘That XX’ and ‘Crooked’ much to the fans’ delight.

In other news, G-DRAGON’s recent single with fellow BIGBANG members, TAEYANG and DAESUNG, ‘HOME SWEET HOME’ has also been successful. As of December 25, the song has maintained its top spot on major Korean music charts for 33 consecutive days, reaffirming GD’s spot as a top K-Pop idol.
