FTISLAND Embarks on a New Musical Journey with ‘Theory of Happiness’
On May 5 at 6 PM KST (2:30 PM IST), FTISLAND officially released their new digital single, ‘Theory of Happiness’, marking the group’s first Korean release of 2025.
Notably, ‘Theory of Happiness’ is a Korean rendition of the title track from the band’s 11th Japanese single ‘Shiawase Theory’ (シアワセオリー). The band’s agency, FNC Entertainment, shared, “This song features FTISLAND’s hard rock sound and emotional string arrangements, which deliver a lyrical story. The lyrics reflect on an unstable past, capturing memories of a turbulent time that, paradoxically, remains one of the most cherished times to return to.”
The track is accompanied by a special clip showcasing a live rendition of the song during FTISLAND’s recent performance.
This release also marks the beginning of a new project titled ‘FTestination’—a term that combines “FT” and “Destination.” It represents the group’s musical direction and aspirations for the year ahead.
FTISLAND continues to build on their legacy as one of K-pop’s enduring bands. Despite shifts in the industry landscape, they maintain a strong presence through live performances, festivals, and creative new endeavors.
‘Theory of Happiness’ is now available on all major streaming platforms.
